i just bought a new laptop from best buy i know that the processor is fast enough and that i have enough ram for this game but i am not sure about the graphics card. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. The games says that it needs a ATi 3850 HD. So is my graphics card good enough or not? Any feedback would be much appreciated.ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250, is this graphics card good enough to run crysis 2?
What you have is an intergrated video adapter, it's a not an actual card, it's just chip on the motherboard. It's not suitable for gaming. The 3850 is much, much faster. When it comes to video cards a higher number isn't necessarily an indicator of better performance. For ATI the first number in the name of the card is the series or generation of the card, the second number is that card's place in the hierarchy of the series, and it's the better gauge of the the performance level of the card, the last two numbers where the card is in the sub hierarchy.
In your case, the 4250 is a 4th generation GPU (in the naming scheme ATI is using at this time), but the 2 indicates that it's a low end part. Where as the 3850 is a 3rd generation GPU, but the 8 is indicative that's one of the fastest 3rd generation GPU's and will likely be much faster than 42xx or even a 54xx card.

Not at all. You have an integrated graphics chip, not a proper card. Sorry, but your laptop won't be able to play Crysis 2 and no, you can't install or upgrade your graphics card either.ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250, is this graphics card good enough to run crysis 2?
Yes it will run the game but very slowly and you will suerly not enjoy the game.
No, HD 4250 is many times slower than HD 3850.ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250, is this graphics card good enough to run crysis 2?
