I'm always seeing benchmark videos playing Crysis Warhead with just only two or four times anti-aliasing.. I think they're just doing it to know the maximum frame per second HD 4870X2 can handle w/out aa.. Can the card play Crysis Warhead with 16x aa smoothly?Do you think that HD 4870x2 can run Crysis Warhead smoothly with 16x anti-aliasing?
I have a 4870X2, as for your question it depends on the resolution. At 16x AA you're pretty much out of luck unless you really turn the detail down. At 4xAA you can play it at Enthusiast (highest) at 1440x900 and it be playable, any higher resolution and it's really laggy. With no AA, 1680x1050 is fine, 1920x1200 is kind of manageable, the game is hopeless at 2560x1600 unless you choose gamer, and even then it's not perfect.
Before you get too disappointed, The HD4870X2 still beats the GTX280 hands down at the game, at least in Vista. XP performance of this game is abysmal with the X2.Do you think that HD 4870x2 can run Crysis Warhead smoothly with 16x anti-aliasing?
no fcken way , my 9800gt can run it 4X max it its a fairly good card, 16 X is ridiculous , 4 X ii have no lag and i tried onto 8 , and 8 was unplayably laggy , i very much doubt u cud go 16
